Mommy went to visit Lennon today and take him for a walk around the Water Garden. We saw the ducks, the seagulls, and the pigeons. We saw lots of fountains and Lennon tried really hard to climb into them.. but Mommy said no.. Mean Mommy!
We had fun though.. on our little afternoon play date. Here’s some pictures.
We’re going on week three here of being sick all around the house.. Lennon has the sniffles and the coughing…. Mom lost her voice last week and now has the sniffles too.. Daddy’s been off and on for weeks too. We’re blaming the air conditioning.. This didn’t happen back when it was 70 degrees every day!
Despite all that, Lennon’s still a happy monkey! Here’s him playing with the Webcam earlier today.
It’s Friday evening.. Lots of time to conspire for weekend plans. See ya later alligator!
Yesterday we took Lennon for his 9 months old pictures. He was still a little sick (and then, after, Mom and Dad started to feel sick again too) but the pictures still came out alright.
This week is Lennon’s first week attending daycare. As part of that, Mommy is stuck running around like crazy trying to entertain him in the mornings while also packing up all his food, getting herself ready for work and making sure Lennon is all set too. The big challenge is shower-time as Lennon is typically pretty tired by the time I make it into the shower and he doesn’t care for sitting in the exer-saucer watching me shower and then blow-dry my hair.
Well, today we found a fun solution! He insisted on following me into the shower.. and since he didn’t have a bath last night and he wasn’t dressed yet for “playcare,” I figured, Why not? So I let him plop his little naked bum into the shower and have a big party with the rubber duckies and other toys while I got my clean on! Go-Go multitasking mom!
Lennon loved it.. Here’s evidence! (He was also attempting to do some drain/plumping work while in there.. I’m sure Dad will appreciate that!)
A couple days ago I bought Lennon his own phone with buttons and lights in hopes that he’d prefer that to my MacBook, iPhone or the television remote. It has sort of worked – but it turns out that JoJoKitty likes the toy even better than Lennon. It has a little yellow string attached and she chases after that all day. Lennon likes to “play” with her too – by pulling the string himself and antagonizing her.
Here they are, playing with the phone together. So far no scratches on either baby or kitty.. I think they’re forming a lasting friendship!
